Our story begins in 1964, when Australian entrepreneur Mr Paul Ramsay founded Ramsay Health Care. For many years, we operated dispensaries within the walls of Ramsay Private Hospitals but in 2007 the Ramsay Pharmacy Group was launched – providing a broader range of full-service, community based pharmacies.
From the very beginning, Paul Ramsay was motivated by the philosophy People Caring for People – principles which continue to drive our own people, and The Ramsay Pharmacy Group today.
The Ramsay Pharmacy Group remains an integral part of Ramsay Health Care, Australia’s largest private hospital provider, with 74 hospitals, day surgeries and clinics located in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia. Ramsay is also the country’s largest private provider of mental health services.
At Ramsay Pharmacy, we are proud of our heritage, and it has helped forge our reputation for delivering safe, trusted care and advice to our customers.
However, we don’t rest on our success. We strive to deliver even better health outcomes by expanding our 24-hour pharmacies, developing deeper customer insights and investing heavily in our infrastructure and the development of our people.
